									UMAR SADIQ has followed Rangers on Instagram as he waits on his Ibrox move being sealed.
It’s believed the Roma striker has agreed to become Steven Gerrard’s eighth summer signing as he closes in on a season-long loan.



		Umar Sadiq should complete his move to Rangers this week	



		Rangers are one of 623 accounts he follows on Instagram	And the 21-year-old has already started doing his homework on his new club after following them on social media.
Sadiq spent last season on loan at NAC Breda in Holland where he hit five goals in six starts to help steer them clear of relegation.
With Gers short of options up front, the 6ft 4in Nigerian powerhouse will provide competition for Alfredo Morelos.
Mexican flop Eduardo Herrera has been told to find a new club, Kenny Miller was shown the door, while Jason Cummings is back at Nottingham Forest.

Speaking about Sadiq last month, Gerrard said: “We’re fans of Umar Sadiq, we do like the player.
“Sadiq would bring us a forward option — height, power and presence.
“He’s a player who works too hard, believe it or not. He does tons and tons of running. He’s very enthusiastic.
“We’ve got an interest, but at the moment Sadiq is still a Roma player.”
Gerrard is also keen on Liverpool hitman Dominic Solanke but must wait for Jurgen Klopp to make a decision on his future.
Meanwhile Rangers have been made bookies favourite to sign Bournemouth star Jermain Defore this summer.
