Reported Nottingham Forest target Jack Marriott has also attracted interest from Europe, according to his manager, Steve Evans. The Peterborough United boss confirmed his striker has caught the eye of “several big Championship clubs” and also said one on the continent has gone so far as to ask how much it would take to secure the player’s services. Former Mansfield Town chief Evans told the Football League Paper: “Jack is wanted by several big Championship clubs and I can tell you exclusively that one European club have been watching him closely in recent weeks – and on Thursday sought a valuation from our chairman. “Mark my words, this kid is going to the top.” Marriott made the move to Peterborough from Luton Town last summer and quickly hit the ground running.
